Machidori is a smart, calm, patient and controlled.
She is part of the Maeda clan and has earth and wind chakra types so is able to summon earth gollums in the form of birds.
She has excellent eyesight over long range but has difficulty seeing things up close (she's very far sighted), as child she use to wear glasses but now wears contacts due to practicality.

She prefers to fight long range and tries to attack her opponents eyes, especially with her gollums. (She has currently managed to permantly blind three opponents)

During the chunin exams she lost one of her teammates in the fight against Konoha and the Sand and is currently only part of a two person team (They have lots of temporary fill ins during missions)

History and Beginnings:
The Maeda clan first formed in Iwagakure, sometime around the founding of the village. The original clan progenitor was an intimidating man of few words but was said to possess all 5 chakra natures and the fearsome ability to summon the spirits of mythological creatures to take form in mud golems. He was said to possess the spirits of creatures such as dragons, kappas, yokais and other fearsome beings. It's said his opponents did not get the chance to fight as they died of fright at simply seeing these forms. The majority of these claims are generally considered false from outsiders and even within the clan because they seem so outrageous. At any rate they continue to pass on these legends more for amusement then for clan history's sake. Since then the Maeda's have spread out into other great shinobi nations such as Konoha, Suna, Kumo, Taki, and Kusa though their main base is in Iwa.
